What is GDP?
Gross Domestic Product. it's the total market value of all economic activities in a certain country of territory and in a certain period of time, which is usually a year
what is PPP?
a good development indicator,to measure living standards, doesn't show health or education and even the distribution of wealth
What is the Human Development Index? what takes account?
HDI is an indicator to measure human development
It takes in account:
-Health (births)
-Education (years of school)
-Wealth (GNI pero capita, PPP)
What is gini coefficient?
is an indicator that measures wealth distribution. Lower the Better

Is a programme coordinated by the UN to supply economic help to the countries that need it lost. That money is not given directly, its managed by the programme
What is the ODA?
is the economic help directly provided by the goverments of the more developed countries to less developed ones
What is the UN target?
is sonating 0.7% of a countries GDP Despite that target looks like a very small quantity, it isnt. State usually spend bt a 4% and a 6% in education or health care.
Denmark, Luxembourg, Sweden and Norway exceeded that target
What have in common ODA and UN target?
The mentioned countries have several things in common, they all are very developed and have a very high GDP per capita, a lower military spending and the political will to donate more money
What is NGOs?
institutions theoretically operating without the support of govermments, and involved in humanitarian action, the respect for human rights or environmental issues
